Looking up at the giant wheel!
"LEXI! LEXI! It's a GIANT WHEEL in the sky!" I barked excitedly.
The Most Amazing Thing I'd Ever Seen!
We were standing on the South Bank of the River Thames, staring up at the most incredible sight! The London Eye looked like a huge bicycle wheel reaching up into the clouds!
"It's 135 meters high - we can see all of London from up there!" Lexi said, reading from her guidebook. Her three legs did a little happy dance. "Come on, Flo! Let's go see the whole city!"
My tail started wagging SO FAST! A giant wheel in the sky? This was going to be AMAZING!
Getting Ready to Fly!
"Can we go on it? Can we? Can we?" I bounced excitedly. "Yes, Flo," said Lexi. "Look, people are sitting in the glass pods enjoying the view. Come on, it's our turn!"
"Can we go on it? Can we? Can we?" I bounced excitedly.
"Yes, Flo," said Lexi. "Look, people are sitting in the glass pods enjoying the view. Come on, it's our turn!"
We stepped into our very own glass capsule! It was like being inside a giant bubble. There were benches to sit on and windows all around us - we could see in EVERY direction!
The best part? The pods move SO slowly that you barely notice you're moving! It's like magic - you're floating up into the sky without even feeling it!
Seeing All of London!
As our pod slowly rose higher and higher, I pressed my nose against the glass. "Lexi! I can see EVERYTHING!"
And I really could! The higher we went, the more of London spread out below us. It was like looking at a magical map come to life!
What We Spotted from the Top:
- Big Ben - Looking tiny from up here! BONG!
- The River Thames - Winding through the city like a silver ribbon
- Buckingham Palace - We've been there! I can see the guards!
- Tower Bridge - Looking like a toy bridge from up here
- St Paul's Cathedral - That beautiful dome shining in the sun
- The Shard - The super tall pointy building that touches the clouds!
"It's like seeing our whole adventure from the sky!" Lexi purred happily. "There's the red bus route we took, there's Leicester Square, there's the Tower of London..."
She was right! From up here, we could see everywhere we'd been together. Every adventure, every special moment, all spread out below us like a beautiful story.
Lexi's Smart Observation:
"The ride takes 30 minutes, Flo - that's exactly how long it takes for the wheel to make one complete turn. It moves so slowly and steadily that you can even walk around inside the pod!" - Lexi being her brilliant, observant self!
The Best Part
When we reached the very top of the wheel, Lexi and I sat together looking out over London. The city spread out below us like a beautiful patchwork quilt of buildings, parks, and rivers.
"Look, Lexi," I said quietly. "We can see everywhere we've been together. The red bus, Big Ben, the Tower, Leicester Square, Buckingham Palace... all our adventures!"
Lexi nuzzled my ear with her nose. "And this is the perfect place to see them all at once, Flo. Every adventure we've had together!"
That's when I realized something special: the London Eye shows you the whole city, but the best view is the one you have with your best friend by your side. 💙
